Most modems have a button to turn wireless off or on. Its often on the top or side of the modem and marked “wireless” or “wifi”.
Press this button to turn the wireless back on.
Confirm the wireless light on the modem comes on.
Wait 30 seconds, then look for the SSID.
Sometimes a modem has more than one problem (happens frequently when people fiddle when they can’t work out a problem), so if you get the wireless light to come on, but still can’t connect, then start the troubleshooter again with the new symptoms.
